Jean “John” F. Hotte is a Partner of Krinzman Huss Lubetsky Feldman & Hotte, and leads the Commercial and Residential Real Estate Division for the Fort Lauderdale office. Throughout his legal career, he has been and continues to be involved in representing commercial developers pertaining to all facets of commercial real estate projects including: formation of various corporate structures, acquisitions and sales, lease negotiations, lease renewals, loan negotiations, development and site plan approvals, loan work out and third party financing. He acts as general counsel for several real estate developers. Additionally, he represents clients in the structuring of business and corporate companies, landlord tenant litigation, ADA public accommodation defense and work outs. His expertise enables him to represent most title insurance underwriters in litigating and resolving complex real estate related title issues throughout the State of Florida.
Mr. Hotte is Martindale-Hubbell "AV Peer Review Rated,” a member of the Real Property and Landlord Tenant Law Section of the Florida Bar, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Broward County Bar Association, and the Florida Bar.
Born in Montreal, he is fluent in French. In 1976 his family moved to Fort Lauderdale to begin the Florida development arm of the family commercial real estate business which originated in Canada. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stonehill College, he went on to obtain a law degree from Nova University (1991), and became a member of the Florida Bar (1992). He remains involved in the operation of the family real estate company in the development of properties throughout the State of Florida.
